Predict the Card: Official Rules
The rules of the free Predict the Card contest on the Social page. No purchase necessary.
Last updated October 9, 2026
1. Who Runs It
Predict the Card (the "Contest") is run by Phins ("Phins", "we", "us") at phinsapp.com. It is not sponsored, endorsed or run by the UFC, by Kalshi, by Apple, by Google or by anyone else, and none of them is responsible for it.
2. No Purchase Necessary
The Contest is free. Nothing has to be bought or paid to enter or to win, and paying for anything (for example a future Premium plan) would not improve your chances. The Contest is a game of skill: the winner is decided by how many results they pick correctly, not by chance.
3. Who Can Win the Prize
Anyone with a Phins account can play for fun. To be eligible for the prize you must, when entries close and when the prize is awarded: be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if older); be a legal resident of the United States (the 50 states and the District of Columbia); have a Phins account with a username; have ticked "Receive Emails from Phins", because that is how we contact the winner; and have ticked the box agreeing to these rules on your entry.
People who run Phins, and members of their households, are not eligible for the prize. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. How to Enter
On the Predict the Card page, pick a winner for any or all of the fights on the card (tap a fighter once to pick them, twice to mark the pick confident), and if you like how each fight ends (KO/TKO, Submission or Decision). Press Lock In My Picks while logged in. Your entry is final once it is locked in: it cannot be changed or replaced. One entry per person per card: more than one account per person is not allowed, and entries made through automated means do not count.
5. When Entries Close
Entries for a card close at midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) at the start of the card's date, which is Friday evening in the United States for a Saturday card. The time is shown on the Social page in your own time zone. Our database's clock decides whether an entry was in time.
6. Scoring
Each correct winner earns 1 point; a correct winner marked confident earns 2 points, and a confident pick that loses costs 1 point. Picking how a fight ends correctly earns 1 more point, but only when the winner is also correct. Fights that are cancelled, end in a draw or a no contest, or are changed to a different opponent score nothing for anyone. Results are the official results as recorded after the card. A tie on points goes to the entry with more correct winners, then to the entry saved first.
7. The Prize
On each card the Contest runs, the best eligible entry wins $25 (US dollars). If no eligible entry scores at least 1 point, no prize is awarded for that card. The prize is paid within 30 days of the winner confirming, by a payment method we agree with the winner. It cannot be transferred. The winner is responsible for any taxes on it.
8. Telling the Winner
We email the winner at the address on their account within 7 days after the card's results are recorded. If the winner does not reply within 7 days, cannot show they are eligible, or the email cannot be delivered, the prize may go to the next eligible entry. We may ask the winner to confirm their age, where they live and that they agree to these rules before paying.
9. Leaderboards
After entries close, usernames, picks and scores can be shown on the Social page. Email addresses are never shown.
10. Fair Play
We may disqualify any entry, or close any account, that we reasonably believe breaks these rules or the Terms of Use, uses more than one account, or tampers with the Contest. If a technical problem, a mistake in a fight card or anything else outside our control affects the fairness of a contest, we may cancel, change or rescore it, and say so on the Social page.
11. Limits
To the extent the law allows, Phins is not responsible for entries that are late, lost, incomplete or not saved because of technical problems, and entrants agree that Phins is not liable for any loss or harm from taking part, other than as the law requires.
12. Privacy
Information from entrants is handled under our Privacy Policy.
13. Questions and Changes
Questions about the Contest: [email protected]. We may change these rules for future cards by posting new rules on this page; a change does not affect a card whose entries have already closed.
